Everything but the kitchen sink, maybe even that! Campers will turn everyday household items into games, art, and creative challenges using unexpected materials. This playful, imaginative week kicks off summer camp by encouraging creativity, experimentation, and big ideas right from the start.
This week we celebrate curiosity, creativity, and the joy of trying, even when things don’t go as planned. Campers will test wacky ideas, build “failed” inventions, and tackle fun “What if…?” challenges. Through trial-and-error games and experiments, kids will learn that mistakes are part of discovering something new.
What tiny treasures are hiding in plain sight? Campers will explore the weird, small, and often forgotten details of the world around them. Activities include scavenger hunts for miniature finds, creating mini worlds, building bug hotels, and making micro-art. This week is all about curiosity, observation, and imagination.
See you next week!
Get ready for a splash! Meltdown Week is all about ice, slime, goo, bubbles, and water fun. Campers will dive into sensory science with melting experiments, water balloon games, sponge relay races, and lots of hands-on summer chaos. It’s messy, silly, and packed with the kind of fun kids can only have in the middle of summer.
This is the week camp gets a little weird, in the best way! Camp Is a Fever Dream Week is playful, surreal, and unpredictable. Filled with silly rules, mismatched themes, absurd challenges, and one-of-a-kind moments that become legendary camp stories.
Imagine you’re stranded, what do you do next? Campers will work together on shelter building projects, teamwork challenges, and survival style games. Through creative problem-solving and storytelling, kids will practice collaboration while imagining bold adventures and daring rescues.
Dragons are just the beginning! Campers will invent their own mythical creatures, complete with habitats, powers, weaknesses, and stories. Art, games, and imaginative play come together as campers build whole worlds fueled by creativity and teamwork.
We’ll wrap up summer camp by slowing things way down. Slow Motion Week focuses on calm, mindfulness, and silly slowness with yoga, gentle games, turtle races, and storytelling. It’s a relaxed, fun way to reflect on the summer, enjoy time with friends, and ease back into a routine.

Cancellation & Waitlist Policies

Cancellation Policy

If you cancel your registration prior to the start of the program, you will receive a credit on your account for the amount you paid. You may use this credit to register for future memberships or programs. Any cancellation after the start of the program will not receive a credit or a refund. In addition, there is no rescheduling option available.

Policy Exceptions

Exceptions to the Cancellation Policy include documented medical conditions or injuries, as well as medical or family emergencies. For an exception to be considered, BGCNWC must receive a call with an explanation of the event justifying the requested exception to the policy. That call must be received no later than 24 hours after the start of a program for requested exceptions as a result of medical emergencies.

Waitlist Policy

Families’ plans sometimes change, so we often have spaces for summer camp open up after registration has filled. We strive to get all kids off the waitlist. We will notify waitlisted applicants if and when a spot becomes available.
