Kirstyn Shaffer was born and raised in southwest Nebraska and moved to Colorado in 2009. Nine years ago, she discovered Steamboat, and it was not a hard decision to leave the Front Range for this beautiful valley. Kirstyn has lived in Oak Creek for the past 3 years and loves being a part of the South Routt community. She has a seven-year-old daughter who is in second grade at Soroco.
Kirstyn’s employment with the Town of Oak Creek began as a summer camp counselor and transitioned into a recreation assistant and interim director of the childcare program. She’s passionate about creating a safe space for kids to have fun outside of school, and is looking forward to seeing how the Boys & Girls Club will enhance the youth care experience in South Routt.
