Craig Club Registration

To attend the Craig Club you must be a registered member. The annual membership fee is $25. After you register, you can sign up for events & programs like Play Days, Summer Camps, and special-interest programs. These programs have additional fees, and scholarships are available – contact us. Once your child is accepted into a program, we will send you information regarding program details, safety protocols, and child expectations.

Craig Club Programs

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Craig provides a safe, positive place for kids in the Craig community. Our Club has full time, part time, and junior staff youth development professionals, who mentor, teach and play with the youth we serve.

After School Program

Monday–Thursday, 3pm–6pm
FREE with annual membership ($25)
Serving kids age 6 - 8th grade
Transportation from all MCSD schools is provided on school days

The Craig After School program includes a HOT MEAL, homework help, organized youth development programs, fun games and activities in a safe and positive environment with trusted adults. Program examples include character building, financial literacy, internet safety, bully prevention, mentoring, drug and alcohol prevention, leadership activities, volunteering, guided arts & crafts, gym programs and so much more!

Play Days / Fridays

7:30am–6pm (select school days off)
$15/day with annual membership ($25)
Serving kids age 6 - 8th grade
Advanced registration required

On most school days off the BGC is open for Play Days with organized programs all day. Snacks and lunch are provided on school days off at the Craig Club. Please see the calendar for the Play Day schedule.

Summer Camp

June 1–August 7 (closed week of June 29)
$70/week with annual membership ($25)
Serving kids age 6 – 8th grade

Our summer camp keeps kids and middle-schoolers moving, learning, and having fun all summer long. The Craig Club offers camps for kids age 6 – 5th grade, and a middle-school camp for kids 6th – 8th grade. Scholarships for weekly fees are available.

Middle School and High School Programs

We know middle school and teen years are complicated. The Club is there during this time to help kids make positive connections, encourage good decision making and provide tools for the next stage of life.

Keystone Club and Torch Club

Keystone Club, for high school students, and Torch Club, for middle schoolers, are leadership and service Clubs that help teens to strengthen their communication skills, build confidence, and take an active role in their Club and community.

Youth of the Year

Youth of the Year is the highest honor a Club member can receive. But it’s more than just a scholarship program, it’s a chance for youth- – in partnership with mentors – to develop skills they can use in college applications, admissions interviews, job interviews and beyond. Each nominee is awarded a scholarship and the winner takes home the Youth of the Year title and a $10,000 scholarship.

Craig Club Gym

During the school year, the Craig Club hosts monthly after-hours events for middle schoolers to unwind and connect with friends in a safe place. Past events have included kickball tournaments, blacklight volleyball, gaming tournaments, and silent discos. Check the Craig calendar for upcoming events.

Junior Staff and CITs

The Club helps youth get ready to join the workforce by providing paid staff positions for youth aged 16 – 18. Under the guidance of caring adult mentors, staff receive help with building positive work ethics, customer service skills, life skills, college prep and career planning.

The Counselor in Training (CIT) program gives 8th and 9th graders the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working with children in age 6-3rd grade. Participants build resilience, develop positive mentoring skills, engage in meaningful community service, and have fun while earning their first paycheck.

Craig Club Orientation / FAQ

3pm–6pm on school days, 7:30am–6pm on Play Days
Kids should be comfortable and ready to play inside or out. For winter, this means warm jackets and snow boots. For summer, sneakers or closed-toed sandals will allow them to be ready for anything, including bike rides, which require closed-toed shoes. When field trips are scheduled, wearing a Boys & Girls Club t-shirt is best so we are all easily identified.
No, we provide breakfast, lunch and snacks on Play Days and during summer camp.
If your child has dietary restrictions, please let us know. If you would prefer to pack a lunch, and your child’s dietary restrictions require that their food be refrigerated, please let us know at drop-off so we can properly store their food. Please email Erin so we can best accommodate your child’s needs.
No, After School days are free with your $25 annual membership. There is no need to register for these days. We are ready and excited to see your child if they come after school. You do need to register for Fridays Off, Play Days and Summer Camp weeks.
No, just select the weeks they will be in attendance, even if they will not be there all week.

Scholarships are available for additional fee-based days or programs like Play Days, summer camps, and special activities. The annual $25 membership is not covered by scholarships. Scholarships are available to families who meet the income guidelines – see this chart.

If your family does not meet these guidelines or you have an additional, unexpected hardship, and you cannot afford Play Days or Camp, please contact us at so we can schedule a time to discuss. We want all children who need us to have access to the Club.
Please see our calendar – above. We will put all special field trips and information there. Also, make sure your email is correct in your My Club Hub account and that you have marked bgcnwc.org as a safe sender so it does not go to spam.
We will contact you if we have an opening for the week you would like to attend. If you were not notified and show up to the Club, you will be sent home. For your child’s safety and the safety of everyone, we have limits on group sizes. Additionally, on field trip days, we monitor how many seats we have on the bus.

Joined Club: Kindergarten
At the Club I lead a program called Positive Action. The program was once dreaded by Club members however I have made it something they love. My creative, hands-on approach brings excitement and fun, teaching important messages in empathy, confidence, and making positive choices. The program has truly come alive under my guidance and not only are kids learning important lessons but realizing that learning can be fun, magical and inclusive. This is what the staff taught me when I was younger and it is an honor to now be the staff and be the one who inspires participation, curiosity and personal growth by modeling leadership and kindness. I plan to pursue a degree in education to continue empowering youth.

I love how the Club brings kids from different backgrounds together to belong, play and grow forming a unique community. As a staff member, I help strive to help children gain confidence, find their voice, and step into leadership roles. I grew up with my mom as the Club director so I have seen the dedication it takes to make the Club succeed. From crafts to gym games to fundraisers and cleaning the gym floors I have experienced every aspect of the Club and am constantly in awe and joyful to be a part of it. I plan to study speech-language pathology or nonprofit management.

I joined the Club at the age of six and discovered a sense of community I had not found at school. Now as a staff member I try to always help the younger kids build confidence and connections. The Boys & Girls Club has helped me find success, my voice and myself. I am so thankful to everyone at the Club. I plan to study environmental policy and political science at Colorado State University so I can advocate for rural communities.

The Club has taught me leadership and confidence. Once shy, I have learned how to communicate with both the kids and other staff members. I have learned how to advocate for myself and believe in my abilities. I often can be found encouraging children who might sit out, showing them that the Club is a place to try new things without judgement. I admire Espy, Lindsey and Erin who help guide me and offer me advice. I plan to attend college to study nursing or education and hope to continue to help others grow and find confidence and acceptance.
